The Spark of Inspiration
Steele Wood & Resin began with a passion for transforming raw materials into beautiful, functional art. Encouraged by friends and family to share my creations, I decided to start an online store to showcase and sell my work. This journey of woodturning is not just a business; it's a personal endeavor fueled by creativity and a love for the craft.
The Art of Creation
Each unique wood and resin piece is a meticulous process. First, I carefully determine the color palette for the resin and select the complementary wood material. Then, I create a mold and allow the resin to cure. Once cured, the material is mounted on the lathe, where I carefully shape it into a bowl, vase, or a bottle opener. The finishing touches involve detailed sanding followed by a protective lacquer coat, ensuring both beauty and durability.

For me, creating these pieces is an exciting journey where the final look is a delightful surprise, evolving organically from start to finish.
